Executive Team

Kent Gibson – President of Capstone Property Management

Commercial Property Management Experience

During his career, Kent has overseen a nationwide portfolio of office, industrial, retail and apartment properties located in every region of the United States. He also was the Vice President of a growing regional portfolio to include 4 million square feet of commercial office, 1.5 million square feet of retail, 1 thousand apartment units, and 6 thousand parking stalls.

Kent has developed apartments, office buildings (including re-skinning a tenant occupied, office high-rise), and planned for a major mixed-use development. These developments include: Social Hall Plaza, Gateway Tower West, Zion’s Bank Building, Ensign Plaza South and Colonial Court II. He also, originated leasing guidelines that maximized rents while preserving optimal occupancies. He increased operational efficiency and lease rates that lead the market.  Kent directed property management, construction, architectural, parking, trash, keys, security, construction management, and leasing teams. Each team had a joint vision that significantly improved client and customer satisfaction.

Licensing and Education

Kent is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Utah. He earned the Certified Property Manager credential from the Institute of Real Estate Management. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor in Science in Finance and a minor in mathematics.

Service in the Community

  • Currently serves on the International Standard Setting Committee for IPMSC
  • Serves on the Executive Committee and Floor Measurement Standards Committee BOMA International (Building Owners and Managers Association)
  • Engaged in advancing the industry as a BOMA fellow
  • Merit badge councilor for the Boy Scouts of America
  • Former Chair, Chair-elect, and Vice Chair for BOMA International (2013-2016), Former BOMA International Secretary/Treasurer (2009-2011)
  • Former BOMA International Chair of Building Codes and Voluntary Standards, Floor Measurement Standards, Finance, and audit committees (past service includes International, Regional, and Local Leadership positions).
  • Former Chair of the Downtown Alliance, Former Chair of the Economic Development and Transportation Committees
  • Former Member of the Salt Lake Chamber Finance and Executive Committees


Kent enjoys golf, basketball, skiing, gardening and spending time with his family.

Todd Mabey – Vice President of Capstone Property Management

Commercial Property Management Experience

Todd has enjoyed being involved with commercial properties for over 30 years. Starting his career, Todd worked as a building engineer, electrician and facilities manager for over 10 years. From these experiences, he learned all the physical, mechanical, and electrical elements of commercial buildings. Todd also, has worked and continues to be a property manager with senior level experience with over 23 years.  He knows every facet of each property he has been privileged to manage. This includes property management, development, leasing, construction management, tenant retention, facilities management, building engineering, and community relations. Through all his years he has created personal and lasting relations with many clients, tenants, and vendors.

Licensing and Education

Todd has a Utah State Master Electrician License, and graduated from of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

David Wright – Vice President of Capstone Property Management

Commercial Property Management Experience

David started his career in property management over 30 Years ago. During his career he has been able to fulfill many roles increasing his knowledge and building lasting relationships. He currently oversees the property management functions making sure properties are maintained and operated correctly maximizing returns and protecting the owner’s investment. He also, strengthens existing client relationships and establishes new business relationships to secure long term growth for the company.

David has experience with many different facets of property management. He oversaw the management and profitability of a portfolio of income properties, including Apartment, Industrial and Commercial properties, for the PRI Income Group in New York, North Carolina, and California. Being Responsible for developing property business plans and strategies and making sure the portfolio achieves the appropriate financial returns.  He developed and implemented capital plans for each property, reviewed and approved all operating budgets for each property, implemented cost control measures, and made sure properties were well maintained. He was also engaged in negotiating leases with new tenants and oversaw the negotiations of lease renewals.

Licensing and Education

David is a Licensed Real Estate agent in the State of Utah and a Certified Property Manager (CPM).  He majored in History at Weber State University.

Dave is family oriented and enjoys being a grandpa. He likes to play and watch sports and is an avid Red Sox fan.


Kate Walker

Kate is a graduate of Brigham Young University. She joined Capstone in 2004 and brings a familiar personal touch. She has over 10 years experience with administrative and accounting responsibilities. Her duties include office administration, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, customer service and other related administrative responsibilities. Kate is all about the adventure. She is a foodie at heart and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three fabulous children. Softball is her sport of choice and she is amazing at it. If you can choose, you want her on your team.

Kim Green

Kim is a graduate in Business Management from the University of Utah. She has been with Capstone since 1999. In her 18 plus years with Capstone, Kim has become proficient and experienced in accounting. She provides a personal and caring touch to all she does. Her duties include general operations, customer service, and the master of financial operations. Kim’s caring touch translates from work life to personal life. She is an outstanding mother and enjoys spending time with her four children and husband outdoors, hiking, and camping. Kim brings a familiar unity to Capstone and all those she works with.

Yvette Hale

Yvette has the work ethic and experience to help facilitate all aspects of services offered at Capstone. She has over 30 years experience in accounting and property management which makes her extremely dependable. Yvette is always willing to help and is quick to resolve any concerns. Her duties include financials, accounts payable, and landlord and tenant insurance. Yvette is a loving mother of four biological and three adopted children. She enjoys spending time with her family and when she can find some time to herself you will catch her reading or interior decorating. She keeps everything organized and running smoothly.


McKenna Wright (Administrative Assistant)

McKenna is that sweet calming voice you hear every time you call.  She has all the answers, but if by a small chance she doesn’t, she will direct you in the right path. Her duties include entering payables, deposits, utilities, and mailing out monthly financials. McKenna enjoys a wide range of fun and exciting activities. She enjoys hiking, playing sports, singing, playing the piano, and some good old fashioned watching movie time. Whenever you make that call to Capstone she will be there to guide your way.

Laura Gibson (Leasing Administrator)

Laura handles everything that comes her way with urgent care and diligence. She is Capstone’s leasing administrator specialist. She provides help with leasing, delivers all necessary documents to tenants, handles collections, and works on other aspects of properties. Laura is a mother of three beautiful girls and spends most of her free time being a great mother. She also enjoys photography when she has free time.

Chris Mabey

Chris is a graduate from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.  He is a great member to the team and is willing to take on any project.  He provides help with project management (getting properties ready for new tenants), leasing, marketing, collections, and our website. He will be attending real estate school and is learning all aspects of the company. He enjoys playing and watching sports, being with family and friends, camping, hiking, and being outdoors.
